Prefab Design Services | Prefab Drawings

Let us help you make your project more efficient.

American Electrical Prefab offers two unique services, Project Design and Direct Material Order.

Project Design

The Design Build service is a full service prefabrication system. We take the original Electrical Plans and “design” a set of Prefab Electrical Plans based on how the material would be installed using a conventional method. We do not “re-circuit” the plans. We engineer a simple “connect-the dots” installation.

Material Direct Order

Order the material you need directly from American Electrical Prefab without the Prefab Design Service.

American Electrical Prefab Designers use a system that includes Electrical Prefab Drawings designed with over 50 years of field experience. The Design has two distinct parts, Plans and Data Sheets.

Plans

The first step in the electrical prefab design process is a design “build” of the branch system based on the Electrical Plans. We do not change the circuitry. We only design the installation, as we would install it.

During the design process, we review the Specification Book and all project drawings to identify details such as Wall Types, Ceiling Types and Interior Elevations to ensure the correct boxes and plaster rings are used.
Unique features of American Electrical Prefab Plans include...

  • CAD drawings specifically designed for your project.
  • Each device, light fixture, appliance, etc. is assigned a unique number.
  • When space permits, lines and other notes are added for clarity and ease of understanding
  • A Data Sheet for easy reference by field personnel
  • A log of changes/revisions made

Data Sheet

The Data Sheet accompanies the Prefab Plans as a tool that helps relate the Plans to the Labels on the assemblies. The Data Sheet provides vital information necessary for the understanding of the Plans.
The Data Sheet includes information such as:

  • Starting Location
  • End Location
  • Device Type
  • MC Path
  • MC Length
  • Cable Size
  • Type

Label

Labels are attached to every assembly to provide information about that particular assembly. The information on these labels is vital and relates directly to the Prefab Data Sheet and Prefab Plans.
